Auction No. 10: Burp cloths

7 Aug

Meet Krisitin, of Florida, who so fabulously made four burp cloths for the auction.

For the auction, she has made gender-neutral burp cloths, perfect for using over mommy’s shoulder, under the baby’s head or just to clean up messes when in need something cute. They’re soft and super-absorbent. The cloths are 8×16-inches and are slightly contoured and hand-sewn using two layers of cotton flannel and one layer of quilt batting.

I’ve used all kinds of burp cloths during the last 12 months but love the fun patterns, gentle fabric and durability of these ones and have given dozens of them as gifts. It’s nice to have a little bit of pretty when you’re cleaning up the less-than-glamorous spit-up of an infant.

I’m a working mom from the Midwest, now living in Florida, who doesn’t have nearly as much time as I’d like to craft and bake. I love spending time with my family, taking hundreds of photos of my kid, blogging and not scraping snow off my windshield.

I’m on the interwebs blogging about raising our 1-year-old (how did that happen?!) daughter and life in general at Sea Cow Circus, and I share the occasional recipe or baking tidbit at East to West Bakers.
