Quoted and noted: A 2-for-1 kind of day & my inner grammar nerd

“Many only learn in two ways: one by reading and the other by association with smarter people.” ~ Will Rogers

“We don’t see things as they are; we see things as we are.” ~ Anaïs Nin

I quote people for a living. I understand the importance of getting it right. But in cases like this, I wonder, is it bad to fix faulty punctuation? Because both of these used a comma incorrectly, and I fixed them. It doesn’t change the speakers’ words, though, so I’m going with it and faulting whomever wrote the quotes down in the first place.

I'd love to hear what you think!
