Poll: Question on vintage jewelry

29 Jul

I bought two gorgeous vintage findings that will make amazing earrings. They’re gold-toned and have that faded color of old jewelry, one I find to be beautiful. The pieces are large and filligree, and they have black faceted rhinestones on them.

On one piece, some rhinestones are missing. To be honest, I didn’t even notice when I purchased them; the findings are lovely as is. However, I’m wondering how much this bothers other people. Anyone who buys vintage or upcycled jewelry knows that some flaws are part of the beauty; however, plenty of vintage jewelry can be repaired.

What I’m wondering is: How important is it to repair these findings? As I said, they’re still lovely, and the missing rhinestones aren’t a glaring omission.
