You may recall that a few weeks ago, I asked you to share some ideas for empowerment phrases, and then to vote for your favorite. (I found it hugely amusing that my favorite phrase at the start of the poll received zero votes.)
You may have even wondered why I was asking. (Or maybe you didn’t, but for the sake of this post, I’m going to assume you did!)
Well, I received an amazing deal from Charm Factory (the fabulous website that brought you the adorable puzzle pieces in my Joey’s Hot Dog necklaces): They would send me 25 custom jewelry tags in exchange for a blog post about these tags. What an easy decision to make!
The ideas for the tags is that they allow jewelry makers to add their shop name or website or logo to pieces, says Angie Beauchamp, Charm Factory’s manager.
I have to admit: I didn’t quite do it like that. I wanted to use the tags as part of a charm necklace. Their adorable size made them perfect to pair with other small charms.
So what I requested was this:
Rawr!!!
And what I did with it was this:

Hear Me Roar empowerment necklace. Pewter lion. You pick the color. -- Click on the image to visit the necklace.
And these, for two sassy besties:
And these, for three sassy besties:
The tags are available in various materials and sizes — from a small brass tag to a larger gold-plated one, and lots of middle-ground choices — but I went with silver-plated rectangular tags. I paired them with a perfect pewter lion and a bright Czech glass bead.
The fact that you get to pick which color you’d like — orange, yellow, red, green or blue — means they’d work perfectly as a best friend set or trio.
Right now, these necklaces are available for a limited time. If they sell well, I’ll bring them back for sure.
If you’d like to use some custom tags in your own jewelry making venture, the minimum order is 50, and the tags range in price from 66 cents each to $3.20 each. You can check out the Charm Factory supply here.
Until then, tell me: What color Hear Me Roar would you pick??
Hugo, mucho, gigundo thanks to Meghan of Phase Three of Life for picking the phrase! I miss you muchly, toots.

Yay!! I’m so excited! They are adorable. Love the lion.
I will, of course, be ordering one.
Love it!!
